Parapsychology (Greek: παρά "para" [alongside] + "psychology") is a science dedicated to study of psychic abilities, specifically extrasensory perception (ESP), psychokinesis (PK), and, to a lesser extent, near-death and reincarnation experience (continuity of the spirit or self). As psychology studies the internal being of mind (or soul), parapsychology might be said to study the external manifestation of mind.
