(Redirected from El Mohán)
El Mohán is a wild man figure in Colombian folklore, associated with life on river banks, beaches, and mountainous areas. The appellation "Mohán" is derived from the Carib word used for priests, sorcerers, and piaches (medicine-men), a term the Spanish extended to include Musicas priests (mohanes) in Cundinamarca and Boyacá, and which the campesinos, in turn, used to refer to the wild man of their folklore.[1]
