Batutut (Malay: onomatopoeia, based on the cry) is a proposed crypto-hominid of the rainforests of Borneo, described as a smaller biped of upright gait, lacking a tail, and darkly hirsute with a great mane. Many sources conflate the batutut with the Vietnamese nguoi rung (người rừng).
