Almas (from Mongolian: Алмас, "wild man"; compare Chechen Алмазы, Turkish Albıs) is a proposed crypto-hominid of the Caucasus and Pamir Mountains of Central Asia, and the Altai Mountains of southern Mongolia, frequently compared to the Siberian Chuchunya (tjutjuna), Himalayan Yeti, and North American Bigfoot (or Sasquatch).
