The New Chronology (Russian Cyrillic: Но́вая хроноло́гия, НХ), as proposed by Russian mathematicians Anatoly Fomenko and Gleb Nosovskiy, is a theory of history based on statistical analysis that asserts the written record of human activity effectively dates back only as far as the year 800 A.D., and that the majority of events described as having occurred in antiquity actually took place in the Middle Ages.
