The Yankee Violet Ray (Outfit) is a violet ray-type device that was marketed as an instrument for electro-therapy, boasting in particular it would be useful in treatment of "rheumatism, colds, lumbago, catarrh, goitre, gout, infantile paralysis, nervousness, insomnia, sallow complexion, skin disorders, pimples, blackheads, [and] scalp diseases," among varied other afflictions. It was sold by Yankee Laboratories, Inc., of New York City, New York.
