Project QKHILLTOP was a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency program, established in 1954, for the purpose of "studying Chinese Communist brainwashing techniques and to develop interrogation techniques."[1] The early studies were reported as having been conducted at Cornell University through their medical school's Human Ecology programs, which ultimately spawned the Society for the Investigation of Human Ecology. This project was eventually absorbed into Project MKULTRA.
