La Médaille Électro-Magnétique de Carolus (Carolus's Electro-Magnetic Medallion), or La Médaille Électro-Magnétique de Ferdinand de Boyères, is an electro-therapeutic medical medallion, advertised as a generator of a "double electric current" in the wearer, produced by the reaction of the varying metals constituting the battery with the wearer's skin (as a galvanic response), in order to purify the blood and regenerate the body to cure disease. It was advertised using the name Carolus of Paris, though it was patented and manufactured by Ferdinand de Boyères.
