Raymond Arthur Palmer (August 1, 1910 - August 15, 1977) was an American editor and publisher, notable for his tenures on Amazing Stories and Fantastic Adventures, as well as for publishing the magazines FATE, Flying Saucers, Mystic Magazine, and Search Magazine. During the 1940s, Palmer was a key advocate of the work of Richard Sharpe Shaver, whose Shaver Mystery dominated Amazing Stories titles for several years, introducing many to the deros and other hollow earth mysteries.
