The Buddhism associated with Tibet (Bod), also known in some sources as Himalayan Buddhism and Northern Buddhism, divided into several schools - Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya, Gelug, Jonang, and Rimé - that take Indian Mahāyāna Buddhism as their origin and incorporate various other practices, including Vajrayāna Buddhism, Tantra, and Dzogchen.
