Kumari Kandam

Kumari Kandam (Tamil: குமரிக்கண்டம், Kumari Continent), also known as Kumari Nadu (Tamil: குமரிநாடு, Kumari Country) is the name of a legendary continent mentioned in Tamil and Sanskrit literature, said to have been located to the south of Kanyakumari, a modern coastal district of Tamil Nadu, India, prior to a cataclysmic event that left it submerged in the Indian Ocean (similar to Atlantis, Lemuria, or Mu; indeed, Kumari Kandam has been conflated with the latter two by some sources).
