From Kook Science

The College of Biochemistry may refer to the Washington Biochemic Medical College (incorporated 1889 at North Yakima, Washington) or the Northwestern College of Biochemistry (est. at Spokane, Washington), both having been formed by George W. Carey for the purpose of graduating students on the basis of one completed examination, via correspondence, in "biochemistry, biochemic pathology, anatomy, physiology and obstetrics," and issuing diplomas for the degree of D.C.L., "Doctor of the Chemistry of Life," if said examination was passed.[1]
