John Christopher Boyd (1845 - 1920) was an American businessman and the front-man of Boyd's Battery (and Boyd's Electro-Medicated Glasses). The Boyd medical medallion business was organised and operated by Ellis H. Elias,[1] Boyd's brother-in-law (through their wives, the sisters Elizabeth and Maggie Martin) and noted con-artist, as a successor to Elias's earlier Sagendorph Battery business.
