Congress of Scientific Ufologists (1967, New York)

The Congress of Scientific Ufologists was a Ufology / Saucerian conference, hosted by James Moseley at the Commodore Hotel in New York City, New York from 23 through 25 June 1967, promoted as "New York's First Flying Saucer Convention." There were sessions both for the public and restricted to members of ufo groups, and guest speakers, in addition to Moseley himself, included Gordon Evans, Frank E. Stranges, Stewart Robb, John Keel, Gray Barker, Richard Basile, James Randi, Long John Nebel, Howard Menger, Ivan T. Sanderson, Alexander McNeill, Roy Thinnes (star of The Invaders), among others, including the first public appearance of Vivenus, a claimed Venusian transmigrant.
