Oneirology (from Greek: ὄνειρον, oneiron, "dream" + -λογία, -logia, "the study of") is what the word means: the study of the mechanic, function, and technique of the dream, defined loosely as the sequence of sensation, sound, image, etc., perceived (experienced) by a sleeping person.
