Ye Ancient Order of Whynot (Why Not) was a North American fraternal insurance society, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, briefly active in the early years of the twentieth century. It eventually consolidated with the Knights of Modern Maccabees in December 1904.[1]
The order, in addition to insurance sales, also lent its name to a brand of cigars produced by H. L. Kirstein & Co., which was later simplified to "Whynot".
