Of Interest

  • Cameron was a contestant on the May 12, 1955 episode of You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx. On the show, Cameron tells Groucho his profession is hydrologist, and explains that his instruments work by taking "on a charge from the electrical aura around the body," and "this positive charge causes it to become attracted to the negative charge coming up by reflection from underground water." When Cameron relates his daily rate ($100), Groucho responds: "Well, you must be finding water because you're certainly soaking somebody."
