The Subtlety of Witches (British Library MS. Add. 10035) is a 410-page, hand-written manuscript of substitution ciphered text, which, when decoded, is shown to be copied definitions and phrases from common Latin dictionaries and some Dutch commentary by the author, who is credited on the first page as Ben Ezra Aseph.
