The Scientific Medical College was a Chicago, Illinois-based scholastic enterprise (or diploma mill), originally chartered in February 1898 by S. W. Winn, George E. Vorten, and D. J. Splane, and in operations under the direction of James Armstrong and his cohort until 1900 when its operations were effectively ended by a U.S. Post Office fraud order banning the college from access to the mails.
