Peter Tompkins (April 29, 1919 - January 24, 2007) was an American intelligence agent, employed by the OSS as an undercover agent in Italy during the Second World War, who became a "New Age" writer in his later years, noted as author of such works as Secrets of the Great Pyramid (1971) and as co-author (with Christopher O. Bird) of The Secret Life of Plants (1973).
