Personal Magnetism Club of America
From Kook Science
The Personal Magnetism Club of America (or simply the Magnetism Club of America) was an informal, correspondence-based organisation formed in the early twentieth century by Webster Edgerly to promote self-improvement teachings he had written under the pseudonym Edmund Shaftesbury, and in particular an introductory book entitled Instantaneous Personal Magnetism (published by Ralston University Press or Ralston Publishing Co. through several editions).
After Edgerly's passing, the club (or perhaps just the mailing list) seems to have transitioned into the International Magnetism Club, with the Shaftesbury textbook distributed through U.K.-based Psychology Publishing Co. Ltd.
