J. Nelson Jones (c. 1826 - January 9, 1914) was a British pharmaceutical chemist and astronomer who was, at least later in his life, interested in Spiritualism and allied disciplines, demonstrated by his authorship of Thaumát-Oahspe (1912), a pamphlet on John Ballou Newbrough's Oahspe, first partially serialised in Annie Bright's The Harbinger of Light periodical.
- Jones, J. Nelson (1912), Thaumát-Oahspe, Melbourne: J.C. Stephens, https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/007689612 — an overview of Oahspe which closes by quoting the Faraday Medium, author of the Origins of Christianity (Springfield, Mass.: Star Publishing Co., 1883). J. M. Peebles authored a response to this particular pamphlet, in which he sought to refute Oahspe as a false doctrine.
