Exelis, Inc. was an American aerospace and defence company, the organisation being spun off in 2011 from ITT Corporation's Defense Electronics and Services division (which was itself formed from the acquisition of EDO Corporation in 2007). The company was acquired by Harris Corporation in 2015 (which, another four years later, in 2019, merged with L3 Technologies to become L3Harris Technologies).
