EDO Corporation (an abbreviation of Earl Dodge Osborn, its founder) was an American manufacturer of aerospace, marine, and electronic systems, the majority of their work performed as a defense contractor for the U.S. military. The company was originally founded in 1925 and continued to operate independently until 2007, when it was acquired by ITT Corporation, becoming the ITT Defense Electronics and Services division, which, in turn, was spun off in 2011 as Exelis, Inc.
