The Dominion of Melchizedek (named for the Biblical figure Melchizedek) is a self-declared "Ecclesiastical Sovereign State," founded in 1990 by Mark Pedley (a.k.a. Mark Wellington, a.k.a. Tzemach Ben David Netzer Korem), which, though their founding document states they shall "possess no boundaries,"[3] has reportedly made claims to sovereignty over several separate territories, including the islands of Malpelo (Colombia), Clipperton Island (France), and Taongi or Bokak Atoll (Marshall Islands), as well as Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica, though most recently only publishes claims to Taongi.[4]
As of February 2012, Pedley has been stated to have no current involvement with the dominion, the reigns of governance falling to David-Parker: Williams,[i] Prime Minister.[1]
