Cryptologia is a bi-monthly (formerly quarterly), refereed journal devoted to cryptology and its history, described by its current publisher as the "only scholarly journal in the world dealing with the history, the technology, and the effect of the most important form of intelligence in the world today - communications intelligence," with the stated aim of "foster[ing] the study of all aspects of cryptology -- technical as well as historical, pedagogical, and cultural."[1] It was first published in January 1977 by the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Terre Haute, Indiana), eventually being transferred to the United States Military Academy (West Point, New York) in July 1995, then to Taylor & Francis (Milton Park, Oxfordshire, England) as of January 2006.
