Material of interest to the study of the geo-noo-graphical space of American Samoa, also known locally as Amerika Sāmoa, an unincorporated territory located in the South Pacific Ocean, southeast of the Independent State of Samoa (or, Western Samoa), currently governed as part of the United States of America since the 1899 Tripartite Convention, during which Germany and the U.S. partitioned the Samoan Islands between themselves. It is presently divided into three districts – Western, Eastern, and Manuʻa – and two atolls, Swains Island and Rose Atoll.
