Bitcoin Cash (cryptocurrency)

From Kook Science

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain that was propagated from August 2017. The new blockchain maintains the previously existing Bitcoin blockchain, as existed from 3 January 2009 through 1 August 2017, which means that transactions and addresses that existed during that time frame exist on both ledgers; thereafter, the two blockchains have been entirely disconnected from each other and share no continuing transactional relationship, despite the shared Bitcoin name.

BCH itself has since been forked, spinning off two separate blockchains: Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHABC), since renamed eCash, and Bitcoin Cash SV (BCHSV), the latter promoted by Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Tokens

In addition to the primary Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency token, BCH allows secondary tokens to exist on the BCH blockchain, including among them the Liberland Merit (LLM).
