エスパー (esper)
From Kook Science
エスパー ("esper") is a Japanese gairaigo (English: "loan word") that refers to individuals with psychic abilities, transforming the English acronym ESP, extra-sensory perception with the addition of an +er ending, hence "extra-sensory perceptioner." People referred to as espers have include Masuaki Kiyota, a child psychic in the 1970s who was supposed to have bent spoons using telekinesis, similarly to Uri Geller, and to have projected mental images onto photo film.
