The Woodmen of the World (a.k.a. Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society, or WoodmenLife) is an American fraternal benefit society, primarily known today for the sale of life insurance, annuity, and investment products to members. The society was originally founded on 6 June 1890 at Omaha, Nebraska by Joseph Cullen Root, who had earlier established the Modern Woodmen of America.
