W. Grey Walter

William Grey Walter (February 19, 1910 – May 6, 1977) was a British neurophysiologist and robotician who developed on Hans Berger's electroencephalogram (EEG), being credited with the discovery of alpha and delta brainwave states, and invented early autonomous robots, including the three-wheeled tortoise robots referred to as Elmer and Elsie.
