Troy James Hurtubise (November 23, 1963 - June 17, 2018) was a Canadian conservationist and inventor best known for his Ursus series of personal armours intended for defence against grizzly bears, the Mark VI of which was demonstrated by Hurtubise himself extensively in the National Film Board of Canada documentary Project Grizzly (1996).

In addition to his infamous Ursus armour, Hurtubise produced what he called the Trojan Ballistics Suit of Armor, a light-weight "ballistics exoskeleton body suit of armour" intended for use in combat, offering protection against IEDs, bullets, and knifes, in addition to supporting close-combat abilities, laser targeting, and a HUD system. Hurtubise also claimed to have created a "26-foot device utili[sing] 67 high-end optical lenses and five different gases, while producing 80,000 lux of full-spectrum light,"[A] with the remote assistance of an anonymous German physicist and local engineers, that produced what he called Angel Light or God Light, one effect of this light apparatus being the ability to see through solid objects.[AL]
