Ted Owens, who boasts an alliance with "intelligences" piloting Unidentified Flying Objects about the universe, contends he can remove the "snakebite" from the Dolphins if only Robbie will hire him. Owens wants a $50,000 contract. "The Sis (UFO intelligences)," writes Owens, "have beaten you eight games out of nine (Owens apparently counts exhibition games), and it will only get worse. The Sis have beaten the Jets also. Both teams will be 'snakebit' from now on . . . until you decide to employ the services of PK Man (Owens) and the Sis."
- (The Miami Dolphins went on to lose 6 of their remaining 9 games, ending their 1969 season last in the AFL Eastern Division. The New York Jets placed first, winning all but 2 of their remaining games.)

The evil eye of Ted Owens, the witch doctor of professional sports, has again been cast on a Baltimore team. Claiming he was publicly insulted by Bullets' coach Gene Shue's refusal to use his powers to help beat the Milwaukee Bucks, the Norfolk man said yesterday he will beat Baltimore "play by play, game by game."

"My brain has been modified by UFO creatures. The right lobe of my brain has been changed so I can perform miracles. At the present time, I am under observation by six scientists." He says it is his job to write these scientists and tell them in advance of any miracle that he is going to perform. He says his most recent miracles were: controlling the NBA and ABA playoffs and controlling the Apollo 16 moonshot. "I told the scientists I would give the astronauts fits and specifically harass their power and communications. And everything happened the way I aimed my mind." "I make a pk map, a crude map before the shot goes up, and then I add mechanisms. These are based on psycho-kinesis (pk), meaning that I can control matter with my mind."
