Rhode Island Scientific Research Association

From Kook Science

The Rhode Island Scientific Research Association was a Providence-based corporation formed in 1912 by Orville L. Leach and others, with the stated purpose of "investigation, discovery, elucidation, and dissemination of science, for the protection, welfare and advancement of humanity." Leach's paper A New Discovery Which is the Key of the Universe (1913) was printed with the note that it was "prepared for and read Jan. 5 before the Rhode Island Scientific Research Association Incorporated," with David S. Fraser (of Fraser Bros. Co., a local coffee and tea concern) listed as president, and Dr. Asa A. Allen as vice-president; while the paper Discovery of the Nature of Electricity lists Leach as the Secretary.
