Outer Dimensional Forces (ODF)

From Kook Science

Outer Dimensional Forces (ODF) is a saucerian group based in Weslaco, Hidalgo Co., Texas, which operates what they refer to as the Armageddon Time Ark Base Operation. The ATABO was established by O. T. Nodrog (also referred to as Orville Gordon in the press), apparently in 1963, on a property in Weslaco where it is claimed that an invisible fifth-dimensional spaceship has been stored since the late 60s. Members assert they are operatives acting under Commander Yahshua Hamashiia of the Positive Section of Outer Dimensional Forces and work in preparation for the evacuation of Earth.

The ODF came to national attention in the United States in 1985 when Mark Alan Lingenfelter, a member of the group, was arrested over a vehicular pipe bombing at McAllen, Texas evidently targeting Hector Farias, mayor of Weslaco, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) subsequently raided the ODF compound, seizing weapons and printed material. Lingenfelter was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1986.

Later Years (1990s)

  • Although frequently called "Orville Gordon" in press reports, Nodrog appears to have been using his preferred name at least as early as the 1930s for all legal purposes, as evidenced by military enlistment, marriage, census, and land records.
  • Elwood Babbitt, the "Medium from Massachusetts", lectured on what he referred to as the "Outer Dimensional Forces" in the 1970s.
