Otto Kalmus (October 1877 - October 4, 1960) was a German-born American manufacturer of patent medicines. His long career in the nostrum trade included stints fronting the Epileptic Institute Company, which was shuttered following charges of mail fraud, the Kalmus Chemical Co. (1915-34), manufacturer of Dr. Guertin's Nerve Syrup, and The Sumlak Co. (1931-48), manufacturer of Sumlakia.
