The Mystic Toilers (of the World) was a fraternal insurance society, formed by J. F. Taake at Des Moines, Iowa in February 1899, before being ultimately reincorporated in 1919 as the Liberty Life Insurance Company[1] (not to be confused with the Greenville, S.C.-based company of the same name).
