Morris Ketchum Jessup (March 2, 1900 - April 20, 1959) was an American ufologist and writer linked in his later years to Carl Allen's claims about the Philadelphia Experiment, an alleged experiment intended to make a destroyer escort ship become invisible that resulted in its being teleported through space for a brief period with calamitous consequences to sailors aboard, which Allen claimed he had witnessed in late October 1943 at the United States Navy's Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
