Aqualandia was a self-declared kingdom, claiming sovereignty over the territory under the oceans of the planet Earth. The kingdom was founded by Kirby J. Hensley,[1] with citizenship in the nation offered for sale to any paying customer willing to cough up $35. It was almost certainly inspired by, and one might propose a usurpation of, Barnett and Austin's Kingdom of Aqualandia, a project that was the object of sporadic press attention during the 1960s.
