Keith Ayling (1898 - 1976) was a British-born bomber pilot, military aviation analyst, and highly prolific writer in a variety of genres, both fiction and non-fiction, credited with writing up to eight books a year at his most productive.

In addition to his expansive corpus of books, Ayling was the editor of Beyond, a magazine dedicated to "True Reports About Incredible and Unexplained Dimensions" that ran for 20 issues from 1968-1971.
