Jonathan Edward Caldwell (March 24, 1883 - November 8, 1955) was a Canadian-born aeronautical inventor of several types of autogyros, ornithopters, and round-wing rotary aircraft, the latter being of certain interest to investigators of the U.S. Air Force's Project Sign as potentially being connected to flying saucer reports, though ultimately dismissed as unrelated.
