Imre Horváth (March 22, 1930 - 2020) was a Hungarian contactee and near-death experiencer who stated they were in telepathic contact with the inhabitants of the star Sirius.
Background
Horváth was born in Hungary in 1930, and suffered several illnesses during his childhood. As an adult, he was injured in an accident at work, requiring an operation, but hospital care was so poor that the operation could not be performed, and he was left impaired for some years. During the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, Horváth left the country, managing to get across the border, but lost consciousness during the escape; he was fortunately found and taken on to western Austria, and from there emigrated to Sweden, where he would marry and remained for the remainder of his life. After the fall of communism in the 1990s, Horváth visited Hungary several times, participating in the first Hungarian UFO Congress among other events.
Of interest, Horváth was briefly treasurer of the AFU (Archives for the Unexplained) in Sweden.
Contacts
In 1959, Horváth fell ill and had an operation to have his left lung removed. During the procedure, he reported having had a near-death experience, seeing a brilliant light and being overcome with a feeling of happiness, then hearing a voice saying that he had to go back to Earth and help humanity.
A few months later, Horváth stated that he was seeing inside of people and was telepathically contacted by the inhabitants of the star Sirius; the aliens, he said, also released images into his mind and blessed him with healing powers. These contacts prompted Horváth to open a practice in Stockholm, where he offered healing to people using his energies and meditations. He also participated in several conferences, in both Hungary and Sweden, giving lectures on his experiences and guiding meditations accompanied by music.
