The Hygeio-Therapeutic College of New Jersey was instituted by Russell Thacher Trall in 1869 at Florence Heights, New Jersey as a successor to his earlier New York Hygeio-Therapeutic College. Like its predecessor, it offered students courses in medicine with a focus on hydropathy (water cure) and hygienic therapy.
