Henry Martyn Benedict (May 13, 1824 - August 7, 1896) was an American banker and stock broker active on Wall Street in the latter half of the 19th century, noted as the first president of the New York Gold Exchange and as a co-founder (with his brother, Elias Cornelius Benedict) and president of the New York Gold Exchange Bank, these twin financial institutions dedicated to, as their names suggest, gold speculation.
