Dr. Esperanto's International Tongue, typically known as simply Esperanto, is a constructed language, originally devised by L. L. Zamenhof (Dr. Esperanto), a Polish ophthalmologist, in 1880s and first available as a published work, the Unua Libro, in 1887.
