Relating to the doctrines of Mary Baker Eddy and the Church of Christ, Scientist, a novel take on Christian thinking that places the powers of healing through prayer at the forefront. Although doubtless influenced by her Congregationalist upbringing, Eddy's new church cannot be said to resemble that of the New England Congregationalists or their later inheritors.
