Material of interest to the study of the geo-noo-graphical space of the Northern Mariana Islands, officially the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), also known locally as Sankattan Siha Na Islas Mariånas or Commonwealth Téél Falúw kka Efáng llól Marianas, an unincorporated territory located in the western Pacific Ocean, inclusive of the fourteen northernmost islands of the Mariana Islands archipelago, which has been governed as part of the United States of America since it was ceded by Japan following its defeat in World War II.
