Carl Schappeller (July 18, 1875 - July 13, 1947), also credited as Karl Shappeller, was an Austrian inventor who claimed he had discovered Raumkraft ("Space-Force"), a hypothesis based in the concepts of the ether, in addition to other boasts, such as the means of transmuting lead into gold using "bio-magnetic" power via a Stoffveredelungsmaschine ("substance refinement machine") of his devising.
