The Black Knight Satellite is an alleged object of unknown origin said to be in earth orbit, considered by some sources to be an alien satellite of some 13,000 years old. The satellite has been linked to early February 1960 newspaper reports of a dark satellite of then-unknown origin in a near polar orbit, feared to be a Soviet spy satellite; the U.S. Air Force subsequently identified it as "a space derelict, the remains of an Air Force Discoverer satellite that had gone astray;" and, decades later, the Discoverer program was itself revealed to be a front for the Corona program, an American spy satellite operated by the C.I.A. Directorate of Science & Technology and the U.S.A.F.[1]
