(Redirected from Memes)
A meme (from Ancient Greek: μίμημα; mīmēma, "something imitated" — derived from μῖμος, mimos, "mime") is a unit of shared idea, an abstraction allowing one to quantify a thought, behaviour, or other concept that is exchanged between peers. The term was coined by the British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in his book, "The Selfish Gene" (1976).
